Vision
Vision
Learn. Survive. Connect.
ALIS builds a world close enough to reality that knowledge gained inside it transfers to life outside it. Real places, real logic.
Survival is the challenge at the center of ALIS. Pressure, decisions under constraint, and the weight of each choice. This is what drives the experience.
ALIS unites people around a shared vision of what the world could be - and gives them a place to build it.
Place
ALIS worlds are reconstructed from real geography - streets, buildings, terrain, infrastructure. A route can be checked. A building can be verified. A distance can be measured. That checkability governs the simulation: what is built on verifiable ground must remain honest.
Trust
Source code under AGPL-3.0. Signed releases. A public pact with verifiable limits. Community servers welcomed by architecture. If ALIS claims something, it can be checked. The Alis Pact defines how ALIS behaves and what it refuses.
Continuity
The architecture is modular, the code is open, the governance is designed to evolve. ALIS is built so that stewardship can pass to those who carry the work forward. No single person, platform, or server is required for the world to continue.
Current reality
ALIS is in early development. The foundation is real - modular plugin architecture, data-driven definitions, vitals simulation, inventory systems, interaction interfaces, signed release tooling, and a public trust infrastructure. The full vision is a multi-year effort. The codebase is open and the principles govern what exists today at the same standard they will govern what is built tomorrow.
